Custom Trade Stand

In May 2019 Teams from VE Graphics and The Midwest region met up to discuss the possibilty of designing a custom trade stand for the 2019 Perth Royal Show in October. The Mid-west had previously advertised at this expo – but wanted to elevate their display to showcase all aspects of the region.

 

The main idea was to show the Mid-west Region through a design that implemented all things Bright, Historic and Fresh. Their previous booth used photographic images and product to speak for themselves, and the team at the city of Geraldton wanted to update this to a fresher look, in line with the midwest’s fresh beautiful landscape and amazing produce. Being featured in the Centenary Pavilion, which was built in 1929, they wanted to complement their booth with the historic nature of the structure.

+Moodboard

From the start both teams worked on concept ideas to give an image to the vision discussed; The mid-west team supplied a mood board to show our designers the precise design nuances they found important, and from there the booth began.

Using the moodboard, we created a draft image that we believed incorporated all the design concept ideas that were supplied to us from the client;  a distinct and eye catching display with draped Fabric Graphics at 5m tall, with shelving, display counters and space for client meetings.

+Sketches

The Teams at City of Geraldton and VE Graphics designed a  fabric drop display with 6 images of the Mid-west in vivid colour 5m tall.

VE used a 5mx12m truss framework to hang the graphics high above to create the illusion of a full backwall, but with the vibrance of a fabric graphic print.

+Historic Elements

Using historic tin from a wheatbelt wool-shed, our supplier created these amazing product tables to further fit with our theme.

As a last piece d’resistance, the city of Geraldton brought in a mint condition lobster truck straight from the 1950’s to complete the booth.

Final Thoughts

The final resulting custom modular display gave exactly what we promised the client; Vibrant colours and height showcasing all that the mid-west has to offer.

 

We look forward to working with the team next year for the royal show 2020.

We really enjoyed working with the highly professional team from VE Graphics. Not being in Perth made it complex for us to manage all aspects of our exhibition, but VE Graphics was there at all times to assist – no matter how big or small the job
